Cinco de Mayo ~ 4 recipes with Sugar Mama Shimmer Edible Drink Glitter

Cinco De Mayo is a day of celebration, commemorating the Mexican army's victory over the French army at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. It's a day filled with music, dance, and of course, delicious food and drinks. One way to make your Cinco De Mayo celebration even more festive is by adding some sparkle to your drinks with Sugar Mama Shimmer Edible glitter. Here are four drink recipes that are perfect for the occasion:

Mango Margarita

Ingredients:

• 2 cups frozen mango chunks
• 1/4 cup tequila
• 1/4 cup lime juice
• 2 tbsp agave nectar
• 1/8 tsp Sugar Mama Shimmer Mango Mama Edible Glitter
• Lime wedge for garnish
• Sugar Mama Shimmer Pink Glitter Salt

Instructions:

1. In a blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour the Sugar Mama Shimmer Pink Glitter Rimming Salt onto a small plate.

3. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into the rimming salt.

4. Add 1/8 tsp of Mango Mama Shimmer & stir.

5. Pour the mango margarita into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge.

Pretty in Pink Paloma 

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup tequila (my favorite is Teramana Blanco)
• 1/4 cup grapefruit juice
• 1 tbsp lime juice
• 1 tsp agave nectar
• Topo Chico
• 1/8 tsp Sugar Mama Shimmer Girl Power Pink Edible Glitter
• Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Instructions:

1. In the glass, combine the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave nectar.

2. Add Girl Power Pink Shimmer

3. Top with Topo Chico and stir.

4. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.

Sparkly Spicy Pineapple Margarita

Ingredients:

• 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
• 1/4 cup tequila
• 1/4 cup lime juice
• 1/4 cup jalapeno-infused simple syrup (combine equal parts sugar and water, heat until sugar dissolves, add sliced jalapenos, and let steep for 10-15 minutes)
• 1/8 tsp Sugar Mama Shimmer Harlow Gold Edible Glitter
• Lime wedge and jalapeno slices for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a blender, combine the fresh pineapple chunks, tequila, lime juice, and jalapeno-infused simple syrup. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour the spicy pineapple margarita into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge and jalapeno slices.

3. Stir in Harlow Gold Edible Glitter & enjoy!

Strawberry-Lime Fizz 

Ingredients:

• 1 cup fresh strawberries
• 1/4 cup lime juice
• 1 tbsp honey
• Sugar Mama Shimmer Pink Rimming Sugar
• 1/8 tsp Sugar Mama Shimmer Rose Gold Edible glitter
• Lime wedge and strawberry slices for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, lime juice, and honey. Blend until smooth.
2. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, and then rim with Sugar Mama Shimmer Pink Rimming Sugar.
3. Pour blended mix in glass & top with Sugar Mama Shimmer Rose Gold Edible Glitter  for a sparkly finish!
